Further’s innovative and engaging online Corporate Responsibility report for Network Rail has won the Digital Impact Award for Best use of digital to aid a CR campaign.
The awards were announced at an informal dinner, hosted by Communicate magazine, at the spectacular Tabernacle, Notting Hill on 21 September 2010.
The report features a fully interactive interface which allows users to explore and discover the many ways in which Britain’s railway network touches the lives of millions of people in this country every day, together with links to a wealth of related information.
Chris North of Further, commented, “We are very pleased to have won especially as we were amongst some stiff competition. The Community and Environment section of the site marks a major step forward in Network Rail’s online communications, offering the best of design, engagement and information presentation. It’s open, transparent and fun.”
James McCobb, Network Rail head of digital marketing, said “It is great to receive this recognition. With this report we wanted to reflect Network Rail’s modern and approachable brand. A web based report allows us to be more interactive using video to demonstrate how our people are all playing a part in delivering a bigger and better-value railway for everyone.”
