Transparency and the narrative approach continue to be two of the hottest topics in corporate reporting. But ever since the credit crunch Risk management and disclosure has been right up there too. The ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards are aimed squarely at improving narrative disclosure in annual reports by celebrating the best and this year our client Invensys was the winner of the Award for Best Risk Management Disclosure in the Annual Report of a FTSE 100 Company.
The judges commented that they were impressed by the clarity of the disclosure and, in particular, the details regarding responsibilities. Congratulations go to Chris McGloin and David Thomas at Invensys in particular for this achievement, they were the principal authors. We are sure that Further’s great design, typography, page layout and typesetting played no part whatsoever in this well deserved award!
