Following on from the success of the Great Western map, Network Rail’s has launched an interactive map of London, designed by Further.
London is undergoing a huge investment in railway, including Thameslink, Crossrail, redevelopments at Kings Cross, London Bridge and Blackfriars and helping to deliver the London 2012 travel plan.
To help communicate this we designed an engaging isometric route map which layers the different types of project work and their respective timeframes. Users are able to switch between the filtered layers, roll over icons to check out project status and link to separate project pages for additional information. The overall look & feel ties in with the award-winning online CR report launched last year and begins to create a distinctive digital visual identity for Network Rail.
